It’s been a good while since I last posted due to my busy school schedule, so, just to prove that I’m still alive and have not been taken to glory, I just wanted to share a few comments. First, there is much “to-do” these days in reference to the issue of morality, with many stating things such as “we ought to do ________”; and this from atheists who deny the Christian world and life view. However, in a world where there is no God, that is just sound and fury signifying nothing, there is no “ought” because there is no moral obligation. Moral obligation assumes that there is an absolute standard of morality and of course, there is none in an atheist universe.
Next, yes, it is a shame that President Obama was reelected and it really does demonstrate the state of the moral decay in this nation. However, Christ is still on the throne and ruling, and these are not just empty words. It truly is high time that we in the church realize that our Messiah is seated at the right hand of the Father and that when a nation is under judgment and has rejected the Lord of Glory, no president in the world is going to offer the proper corrective. On this note, let us concentrate our efforts in truly living and demonstrating Christ in us, as well as in the fulfillment of the Great Commission. To see the nation changed, we need to see soul’s and hearts changed, and this can only come about the Holy Spirit working through the word of God.
Finally, may the Lord Jesus bless all of you during this Christmas season. So often it is easy to take our families for granted and it is my hope and prayer that all of us have a newfound appreciation for the blessings that we have been given and let us love our families in reflection of the love that we have for our Triune God who saved us from our sins and trespasses.
