Dr. James R. White of Alpha and Omega Ministries just gave two excellent lectures in Texas. The first addresses the topic of the former dean of Liberty Seminary (and current professor at Arlington Baptist College) Ergun Caner, who billed himself as a former jihadist who was born in Turkey, when in actuality, he was born in Sweden and moved to the United States at the age of three. Amazingly, Caner is still being embraced and defended by many in the evangelical community, demonstrating that much of American evangelism has lost all understanding of discernment. Next is a wonderful presentation on Islam. Dr. White just released a book on this subject, What Every Christian Needs to Know About the Qur’an, has engaged in many debates on this subject and has an excellent knowledge on the topic of Islam.
