Tea Requires Water: An Analogy (via Mike Robinson)
- A cup of tea is wet, quenches the thirst, spills, and freezes.
- Water is wet, quenches the thirst, spills, and freezes.
- However, water doesn’t need tea to be water. The tea needs water to be tea.
- Drinkable tea presupposes and requires water.
And the laws of logic presuppose and require the Triune God:
- The laws of logic are immutable, universal, and true.
- Allah is not immutable, universal, and true (he deceives and he lacks real attributes including immutability and truthfulness).
- Allah is not sufficient to account for the laws of logic.
- The Triune God is immutable, universal, and true.
- The Triune God is sufficient to account for the laws of logic.
- Human experience presupposes and requires the laws of logic.
- Human experience presupposes and requires the Triune God.
Transcendental analysis of Islam demonstrates that it is self-defeating inasmuch as it fails to give what it does not possess: immutable universals including the laws of logic and objective moral values.[1]
